I have always wanted to make
my own jam
but I've been too afraid...
of what?
Messing up, I guess.
So yesterday, my friend, Suzanne,
sent me a link to a blog called
A very inspiring site for us Happy Homemaker wanna-be's!
With lots of recipes and helpful hints!
That blog led me to another blog:
which has all kinds of recipes and helps
for canning and preserving all kinds of stuff.
This is where I found the recipe for
She made it sound sooo easy,
so I thought I'd give it a try!
Washed my jars |
Mashed my blueberries - the most tedious and time consuming part of the whole thing! |
Mixed berries with no-cook pectin and sugar for 3 minutes! |
And it was done!!! |
Mmmmmmmmm! |
Couldn't be much easier than that!
I really have no idea why I waited so long to try this!
But you can bet that I will be making
my own freezer jam more often now!
Do you can???
Do you have any simple recipes to share
with this canning newbie???
Hope you are having a great weekend!
Hugs!

I actually canned today, 30 jars of jam and jelly. But, I have never freezer canned. I just don't have the freezer space. Blueberry cinnamon, sounds really good. Today I made strawberry jam and the best jalepeno pepper jelly, all I have to do is post a facebook post that I am makin it and my friends start sending me messages to buy some. Water boiling canning is super super easy, you should give it a try.
I *love* freezer jam...the fruit tastes so fresh! And it is easy, isn't it?
Now, where are those wedding pics?

oh yummy. I could just dip a spoon into that jar and taste it. Hugs Sara
